Tomorrow, 4th of March 2018, Italians will finally vote for the general elections after the Italian parliament was dissolved by President Sergio Mattarella on December 28th 2017.
This year has been a turbolent year.
From the election of a controversial president passing through many horrible terrorist attacks and arriving with the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia.
Here I’ve summed up our Year appointing the most important facts that have happened.
A terrorist attack occured in one of the most popular and iconic cities of the U.S: our beloved New York, New York. Nevertheless the news has been slightly resounding, not as much as I personally expected. In fact, after the attack people still continued to celebrate Halloween, as of tradition, with thousands of masked children who knock on doors for treats .
Textbooks, most of us had to deal with them. WAIT, what am I saying? ALL of us had to deal with them; and we are proud of our overpriced, loosely fact-checked stack of paper.
My family spends 450$ (400 EUR) on textbooks for me alone, every single year; that might sound like a hefty but necessary purchase, but add another child and that price goes up to almost 1 thousand dollars every year. I’m just in high school, college textbooks cost twice as much (with an average of 1,200 $ a year per student).. could a broke college student afford such a expense?

Whether you may or may not have heard about zero waste, this movement has become extremely popular between the eco friendly community. It is a way to become a citizen involved in the fight against climate change and might lead to entire zero waste communities in the future.
